TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Economic Affairs and Finance Minister Davoud Danesh Jafari and Central Bank Governor Tahmasb Mazaheri left Tehran for Washington last week to attend a joint meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB).

During the week-long IMF-WB annual meeting, which kicked off work in Washington last Monday, envoys discuss the world's most important financial and monetary issues, including disorder in the monetary market and the economic prospects of countries, long-term strategy of the WB groups and the date and venue for the next meeting.

The Iranian central bank governor has also attended a meeting of Group 24 of developing countries on the sidelines of the IMF-WB joint conference.
