Iran's 6-month non-oil exports fetched dlrs 7bn

The head of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI), Mehdi Ghazanfari, said non-oil exports yielded seven billion dollars in the first half of Iranian calendar year started March 21,2007), an Iranian paper reported Monday.


Attending the National Exports Day ceremony on Sunday, Ghazanfari called exports development a symbol of national will, adding "the state's non-oil exports enjoyed desirable progress and records in terms of value."
Ghazanfari, also the deputy commerce minister, said that mines sector with 5.24 percent had the lion's share, reported the English-language daily 'Tehran Times'.

"Iran has exported 3,000 types of products to 149 countries," he said.
