TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is scheduled to pay a visit to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia next month to attend the third summit of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

During the visit, the Iranian president will be accompanied by his senior advisor Mojtaba Hashemi Samareh, foreign minister Manouchehr Mottaki and caretaker oil minister Gholam Hossein Nozari.

A study of the ways to supply global demands, maintain tranquility of the world markets and protect environment against hazards will be on the agenda of the next OPEC summit in Riyadh.

The oil cartel has already experienced two summit of the heads of its member states, one in Algeria in 1975 and the other one in Venezuela in 2000.

Presidents and prime ministers of the organization's 12 member states - Iran, Algeria, Angola, Indonesia, Iraq, Kuwait, Lybia, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, the Untied Arab Emirates, Qatar and Oman - are due to attend the third summit in Riyadh on November 17 and 18.
